The "largest" American Flag kite
in the world spanned more than
10-thousand square feet in the air.

It was part of a kite festival to
benefit underprivileged children.

A 15-person flight crew launched
the giant kite which weighs more than
500 pounds.

The kite festival was hosted by
LifeNet Community Behavioral
healthcare.

The group says the free event
symbolized underprivileged children
taking flight -- and rising above

life's extraordinary challenges. (END VO) (END VO)
