today for killing one of the girls'
mothers and burying her in the
backyard.

Fifteen-year-old Nakisha Waddell
and 17-year-old Anastasia Belcher
pleaded guilty in December to fatally
stabbing Waddell's mother, Vaughne
Thomas last May, and burying her in the
backyard.

They will be sentenced in Wythe
County Circuit Court.

Waddell pleaded guilty to
first-degree murder and three other
charges.

The maximum sentence for her four
felonies is life plus 70 years in
prison.

Belcher pleaded guilty to
second-degree murder as an accessory
before the fact, along with a number of
other charges.


She faces more than 50 years in
prison.

early September, after finding a gun in
his father's car.

morning- police say a man broke into
The Caribbean Sun Tanning Salon and
made off with the cash register.

On Tuesday, two other businesses
were broken into the same way- someone
threw a rock through the plate-glass
door of the Mojo Cafe and stole the
register.

The same thing happened in Salem
at Chip & Jo's.

Authorities aren't sure the case
are related, but are investigating.

America's Most Wanted on June 4th, and
a viewer called in saying he might be
hiding out in Pulaski.

the finishing touches on an expansion
project at the intersection of East
Main Street and Route 419.

V-Dot has expanded the road
approaching the intersection to five
lanes.
