connection with a shooting at a Henry
County trailer park over the weekend.

Jermaine Cox-Ingram was shot just
before two Saturday morning at the
Moran's Trailer Park in Bassett.

species, but the new N-B-A bargining
agreement could make Roanoke the place
to see the next Lebron James.

Now that the NBA will require
incoming rookies to be 19 years old and
at least a year out of high school the
NBDL shoudl improve. If a kid wants to
play Pro ball just out of high school
he will have to go overseas or play for

the D-League which has lowered it's age
limit.

But George who is stabled in Blacksburg
has been through a lot.

The Vetirnary School at Virginia Tech
treated George and didn't give him much
of a chance of survival.

So just being able to particpate this
week is something special for this
horse and his rider Ariel Lotz

the disease could come-back but the Vet
said with the amount of time that has
passed since his treatment George
should be good to be riding in the

speaker for the Commonwealth Games
Opening Ceremonies will be Tennis Gold
Medalist Zina Garrison. The games will

An entire playground, built in

less than seven hours.

The Home Depot teamed up with
playground maker KaBOOM and lots of
volunteers to build a dream playground.

Work began around 8:30 this
morning and was wrapped up by three in
the afternoon.

The Boys and Girls club hopes
this will not only be a gift for them,
but for all kids in the area.
