Montvale.

Inside, investigators say they found
four illegal aliens and a stash of
stolen goods.

have spent the past two weeks training
at Fort Pickett.

Instead of focusing on "woodland"
missions, soldiers now spend most of
their time learning street- smarts.

While running practice missions
inside a mock village they learned how
to deal with civilians and insurgents-
similar to situations faced in
Afghanistan and Iraq.

These days, soldiers say its not
a matter of if, but when they'll be
deployed.

his life, Charles Travis Shelor has
been found guilty of driving under the
influence.

Today the 34-year old pled guilty
to D-U-I and driving after having been
declared a habitual offender.

Shelor faces six years in the

Natalee Holloway.

sentenced Edgar Ray Killen to 60-years
in prison for the murders of three
civil rights workers.

man was pushed into a Philadelphia,
Mississippi courthouse this morning not
knowing his ultimate fate.

Earlier this week, he was
convicted for the murders of James

summer of 1964.

Killen's attorney says he plans

are making progress on a wildfire that
destroyed six houses in the desert
community of Morongo Valley.

The fire is just over
three-thousand acres, down from an
estimated 62-hundred acres.

The wildfire apparently began

when flames from a house fire spread.

Now the fire is burning through
brush in the Mojave Desert, which is a
hundred miles east of Los Angeles.

Firefighters expect to contain
the fire sometime tomorrow.

Valley Horse show.

Day number four of the incredibly
busy six day event has wrapped up at
the Taliaferro Complex in Salem.

When Saturday night's Grand Prix
closes out the show, more than $250
thousand dollars in prizes will have
been awarded.

Stick Horse Stampede But you know what - there's only :00 one event where every participant gets
a blue ribbon and the horses never act
up.

Tonight's stick horse race proved

to be the highlight of the week as
aspiring equestrians stepped into main
coliseum ring for the first time to
show off their horses and their
outfits.

Youngsters sported some
tremendouly creative cowboy and cowgirl
outfits - while others took the
corporate casual approach as they
galloped around for fans.

This is the one event at the show
where there IS an age limit. No old
people!

coach Larry Wood has been hired as the
new head coach at Roanoke College.

2003 Just two weeks ago he retired :00 from the Roanoke County school system
where he did just about everything for
Glenvar baseball in his 20 years at the
school.

He won a state title with the
Highlanders in 1994 and was named coach

Rivers districts a combined five times.

In 2003, Wood also was inducted
into the Salem-Roanoke baseball hall of
fame.

He inherits a team that made the
ODAC tournament for the first time in
its short history last season.

Frank Anzalone the former Express
coach was recently fired as head coach
at Lake Superior State - and he's not
happy about it.

Anzalone believes his termination
was wrongful and he plans to pursue the

matter in court.

The fiery bench boss was fired
this past Monday and replaced by an
assistant coach.

His record certainly was nothing
to shout about.

Since returning to Lake Superior
State in 2001 - Anzalone won 32 games,
lost 97 and tied 20.

The halters support the cows'
udders which can weigh up to 100 pounds
