use security tape to figure out how a
five year old girl died inside a
laundromat.

Friday after being trapped in a washer
at a laundromat.

Police are now reviewing
surveillance video from two cameras
inside the facility.

The little girl's mother, Rebecca
Billings Wagoner told police she
stepped outside the laundromat leaving
her daughter with the girl's 14 year
old brother.

Wagoner says when she went back
inside, Rebecca was trapped in a
triple-load washer.

in connection with an animal crematory
accused of dumping dog carcasses in

Scott County.

One man is already under arrest
in Tennessee.

Authorities took Michael Lee
Badgett into custody Tuesday night.

Knox County Sheriff Tim Hutchison
says he's charged with 15 counts of
theft.

He says Badgett and Mikel (Mi-
KELL) Bradley, owner of crematory
RossAnn Services, both face charges for
taking money and failing to provide
services to clients.

Bradley also faces 15 theft
counts, but investigators are still
trying to find him.

The arrest followed a two-month
investigation.

It began after authorities in Scott
County found a site where the carcasses
of about 150 dogs had been dumped.

prosecutors should have taken a tougher
stand against a Franklin County man
convicted of killing his neighbor's
dog.

The dog had killed the man's cat
earlier.

Glenn David Smith was convicted
of a misdemeanor and fined 30 dollars.

Witnesses testified that the
german shepherd had attacked other
animals and was suspected of killing
livestock, before it injured the cat.

Humane society member Tammy
Javier (HAH-vee-air) says the dog's
history doesn't excuse Smith, and she
argued that prosecutors should have
pursued the case as a felony.

want their new neighbor to move out --
and take his home with him.

onto Greenway Drive a few weeks ago,
but it didn't get a warm welcome.

People are saying it doesn't
belong, and they want it out.

Last week, the board of zoning
appeals ruled the home violates county
code.

The owner of the property
declined an on-camera interview, but
says the house is not manufactured, but
modular, which does NOT violate any
codes.

He has 30-days to appeal the
B-Z-A's decision.

helping disabled people and their
families -- now it's the one gettign
help.

October In September- the Craig County
camp was hit by the remnants of

Hurricane Jeanne.

The camp sustained more than a
million dollars in damage.

Insurance covered only one
quarter of that.

Camp officials weren't sure how
they would pay for the repairs.

But with donations, grants and
volunteers, the camp managed to open on
time for its summer sessions.

Soldiers overseas.

The group even put together hero

and envelopes so they can write their
parents.

The 4-H-er's also wrote letters
to the soldiers to thank them for their

in Roanoke have a new place to play.

The Home Depot teamed up with
playground maker KaBOOM.

They worked together with a
number of volunteers to build an

entire playground in less than seven
hours yesterday.

The kids at the Boys and Girls
club designed the playground.

KaBOOM and Home Depot took their
designs and made them a reality.

man in connection with a shooting over
the weekend.

Jermaine Cox-Ingram was shot just
before two Saturday morning at the
Moran's Trailer Park in Bassett.

Yesterday, sheriff's deputies
arrested 23 year old Anthony Lee
Coverdale and charged him with two
counts of maliciously shooting into one
of the trailers.

There have been no arrests for

waking up without water this morning.

Officials do say the break that
affected service yesterday has been
found and is being repaired.

People who live closest to the
break are most likely to see reduced or

for today in Radford.

VDOT plans to open the
newly-constructed northbound side of
the Memorial Bridge.

When it does, two lanes of

traffic should flow in each direction
across the bridge for the first time in
almost three years.

Drivers should also expect the
signals at Route 11 and Main Street in
Radford to be activated today.

in downtown Danville could mean getting
used to a new traffic pattern.

The city of Danville and the Downtown
association are proposing the one way
street- along with 50 new parking
spaces on Main Street- some of them
angled to make it easier to park on
hills.
