is recovering after a pit bull attack.

It happened yesterday afternoon
in the one-thousand block of South
Boston Road.

Danville Police say the girl was
visiting her friend who was dog
sitting.

The pitt bull reportedly got
loose and bit the nine year old on her
right arm, breaking it at the elbow.

influence. It's his FOURTH conviction.

Soldiers headquartered in Roanoke
have spent the past two weeks training
at Fort Pickett.

Instead of focusing on "woodland"

missions, soldiers now spend most of
their time learning street- smarts.

While running practice missions
inside a mock village they learned how
to deal with civilians and insurgents-
similar to situations faced in
Afghanistan and Iraq.

These days, soldiers say its not
a matter of if, but when they'll be
deployed.
