road project was yanked this weekend.
The federal government pulled its
funding from the Coalfields Expressway,
citing delays and rising costs.

supposed to cost one-point-six billion
dollars.
Now the price tag has doubled to
three-point-eight billion dollars since
2001.
The 51-mile road was suppose to
run from Wise County to the Virginia

Republican gubernatorial

But in the Iraq war, women are not only
doing the grieving half a world

They're also doing the fighting and the

represent a tiny fraction of the 1700
troops killed... female service

The adrenaline is pumping. The bullets

While Pentagon policy states that only
men can serve in traditional

keep women out of harm's way in Iraq...
is to send them home.

little
that the military can do to reduce the
risk to women who are over in a

because there are no frontlines."
