Gaskins swore out a warrant for assault
and battery yesterday, claiming her
husband pushed her down some steps
during an argument in Newport News
Monday morning.

Conversely, Veronica Gaskins is
accused of vandalizing her husband's
vehicle.

Police in Newport News faxed the
warrant to Roanoke Police this morning.

It was served, signed and
returned to Newport News Police just
after eleven.

Gaskins is set to appear in court
in Newport News on July 7th.

incest.

He'd been convicted of murdering
the children, and of sexually abusing
his daughters and nieces.

The murders occurred when two of
Wesson's nieces returned to the Wesson
home to claim their children.

When Wesson did not turn the
children over, police were called.

The stand-off ended when a
bloody Wesson emerged from the home.

He'll be formally sentenced next
month.

45 Dodge driven by Kyle Petty is losing
Georgia Pacific as its primary sponsor.
That change will take effect next
season. And the lucrative Valvoline
sponsorship is going away from NASCAR
and the MB2 racing team.

You may remember that the
Valvoline/MB2 partnership was announced
in 2000 and has been in effect as a
50/50 partnership. The deal marked the
first time a consumer products company
actually owned a NASCAR team.

Valvoline says it does plan to
stay in racing in some form.
