A police pursuit in Roanoke ended
with an accident last night, when a car
officers were trying to stop collided
with another passenger vehicle.

that was too dark.

At first officers thought the car
was going to pull over in the
northbound lanes of the the Roy Webber
Expressway.

THROUGH THE PARKING LOT TOOK OFF TOWARD

Police apprehended the man who
tried to flee, and two other suspects
were taken into custody.

The driver of the second car, a
woman, was taken to the hospital. And
one of the suspects received medical
care after he complained of back pain.
Police did not believe the injuries
were life-threatening.

GRAPHIC=Robbery Police in Danville are looking

for two suspects who robbed a man and
opened fire on him as he ran away.

The 19 year old victim was
walking from his house to his car in
the two thousand block of Carter street
when two men approached him.

Police say one suspect was
carrying a pistol, the other had what
appeared to be an AK-47 assault rifle.

The victim was hit in the head
with a gun and robbed. The suspects
opened fire when he tried to escape. No
one was injured.

second U- S case of Mad Cow disease to
Texas.

It's the first time an American-

born cow is confirmed to have had the
disease.

cow born, raised, and slaughtered in
Texas.

Officials stress the animal didn't
enter the food supply.

It had been sent to a pet food

allegation.

Joe Gaskins' own officers
served him with the warrant from
Newport News yesterday morning.

windows and headlights of her husband's
Cadillac.

Police say there was another female
with Gaskins at the time.

No was hurt during the
confrontation.

The driver of the second car, a

inside her home .

The 30-year old told police
she was standing inside her house on
Motley Street just before 3 o-clock
yesterday when she heard a pop.

She felt a sting in her left
leg and realized she'd been shot. The
woman was taken to Danville Regional
Medical Center for what are described
as non-life threatening injuries.

The 19 year old victim was
walking from his house to his car in
the two thousand block of Carter street
when two men approached him.

Police say one suspect was

The victim was hit in the head
with a gun and robbed. The suspects
opened fire when he tried to escape. No
one was injured.

scenes in Rockbridge County.

While hundreds served as extras.

armed robbery suspects.

Authorities say they robbed a man and
opened fire on him as he ran away.

Police say one suspect was
carrying a pistol, the other had what

their Grayson County home in March died
of a drug overdose.

A neighbor found the bodies at
240 Grayson Street in Fries.

Deputies say 58 year old Roger
Shinault and his 22 year old son,
Darren, were inside the home with no
visible signs of harm.

A toxicology report showed the
two died from an overdose of methadone.

A police pursuit in Roanoke ended with
an accident last night, when a car
officers were trying to stop collided
with another passenger vehicle. Police
apprehended the man who tried to flee,
and two other suspects were taken into
custody. Authorities searched the
vehicle and said they recovered a
significant amount of what appears to
be marijuana, and cocaine.

A deal that would bring 200 jobs and a
multi-million dollar log home building
plant to Carroll County may be in
jeopardy.

During a special meeting tonight, the
board of supervisors will review the
deal with AmerLink (Am-er-Link) for a
second time.

Many local officials fear the board
will take back the incentive package
and throw the county into a legal mess
because AmerLink has already started
construction.
