Motor Mile Speedway The biggest crowd of the season :00 was on hand at the track tonight for
the annual Independence Day Monster
truck show.

The Gravedigger, the Hulk and the
Ninja Turtle truck all took part in the
activities.

Kids were able to get free truck
rides early in the evening before the
Monster Beasts rolled onto the
converted infield track crushing and
hurdling cars.

In case you're wondering - these
truck engines are custom-built,

alcohol-injected and usually cost
around $35,000 each. They burn two
gallons of methanol on every 250 foot
run. The tires are 66 inches high and
43 inches wide. They cost $1,800 each.

The Motor Mile returns to its
normal racing schedule on Saturday -
July 9th.
