AFTER THE CLOSE OF THE COURT'S TERM.

IN A STATEMENT SHE SAID, QUOTE: "It has
been a great privilege indeed to

have served as a member of the court
for 24 terms. I will leave it with

enormous respect for the integrity of

the court and its role under our

constitutional structure."

PRESIDENT RONALD REGAN NOMINATED

HER TO THE BENCH IN 19-81. THE

in 1981, when President Reagan
appointed the Arizona native to the

deal that will create 200 jobs for the
county.

Roanoke Country Club Davies started off a little slow on at
the Roanoke Country Club, but she
picked it up on the back 9.

She birdied number 10.

And then on the 12th, from long-

range, she dropped in this birdie putt
on the Par 3 to extend her lead.

Playing alongside Dot and Meg was
Vickie Kasza KAH-shuh, who would shoot
the low round of the day a 69 that
included an eagle on the Par 5 17th
Hole.

She finished in third place.

Dot Bolling came in second to
Davies after shooting a 75, her highest
score of the 3 day tournament.

In the end, Davies was able to
bogey 18 on her way to shooting 71 and
winning the City County title with a
record setting score for the 3 days.

Their publicists also confirmed
that 33- year- old Garner is pregnant
with her first child.
