were saying as they gathered for the
Star City Motor Madness event.

Fifty years ago these machines
used to be commonplace on Williamson.

But times have changed.

will roll out its new mobile command
unit for tomorrow's festivities.

central command center during events at

The unit will be parked on
Jefferson Street in Southwest Roanoke,
just north of McClanahan.

Police say, in addition to being
