unit for today's Fourth of July
festivities.

central command center during events at
the Rivers Edge Sports Complex.

The unit will be parked on
Jefferson Street in Southwest Roanoke,
just north of McClanahan.

Police say, in addition to being

the Clarion Hotel.

The event, hosted by the Star

City Fanciers, brought cat owners from
all over the east coast.

money from the federal government.

File Tape Congressman Rick Boucher says the
U.S. Department of Homeland Security
has agreed to change the New River
Valley Airport from being desiganted as
a "user-fee airport" to a "port of
entry".

Boucher says the new designation
will allow the airport to receive
annual federal funding for operating
expenses and maintainance of the
customs office.

Boucher says the federal funding
is a direct result of the high number
of people flying into the airport.
