mayor Carl Hutcherson is facing a
felony drug charge after a traffic stop
last month.

26-year-old Carl B. Hutcherson
the Third was arrested June 18th.

Police say he was nervous when they
stopped him on Route 29.

A search of his car allegedly
turned up eight ounces of marijuana.
Authorities say they seized about two
thousand dollars in cash.

Hutcherson is charged with
possession of marijuana with intent to
distribute.

He was appointed a lawyer today
and will be back in court in September.

His father remains the target of
a federal criminal probe of his
church's finances.

honored in an exhibit at Virginia Tech
this week.

It's sponsored by a Quaker social
justice organization and is made up of
17-hundred-49 combat boots.

War of the Worlds is still the buzz
but Hollywood is already looking at
Rockbridge County as a possible site
for filming of another Steven Spielberg
movie.

He's working on a film called
Lincoln about the life of Abraham
Lincoln.

Speilberg was in Rockbridge County
filming parts of War of the Worlds.

The Rockbridge-Lexington Director
of Tourism says Speilberg was impressed
with the region.

guard Darris Nichols is going abroad at
the end of the summer.

The club opens the season on October
