at a housing complex in Northwest
Roanoke.

outside the Lansdowne Apartments in the
28-hundred block of Salem Turnpike.

Investigators confirm the victims
were a man and a woman.

Witnesses tell us they heard multiple
gunshots.

Police are currently looking for
suspects but declined to give anymore
details.

The conditions of the two victims is
unknown at this time.

investigating, police have made an
arrest in a deadly Fourth of July
shooting.

July 5 Neighbors at the Hurt Park
apartments in Roanoke thought they were
hearing fireworks late that night.

In reality, a man had been shot
and lay bleeding between two of the
buildings. Toby Preston died the next
day.

Police have been looking for
Irvin Pete Williams since late last
week.

Around 5:40 this evening,
Williams turned himself in to face
charges of murder and use of a firearm
in commission of a felony.

suit.

preliminary approval to a settlement
under which Bernard Ebbers will turn
over nearly everything he owns to a
trust.

The belongings will then be sold
and are expected to bring in 25-to-40
million dollars.


The 63-year old Ebbers must also
pay $5 million up front.

The settlement springs from a
suit by investors who lost billions of
dollars in the collapse of WorldCom in
2002.

July 9 Danny Way is the first person to
jump across the Great Wall of China
without any motorized aid.

According to his sponsor-
Quiksilver- Way completed the stunt by
rolling down a huge ramp at nearly 50
miles an hour.

He blew the first landing, but made
the next three attempts- even adding
some 360-degree spins.

Although Way already held
skateboarding's height and distance
jump records, he says the sixty-one
