tractor trailer leaving the Interstate
at Exit 150 failed to make a sharp
right hand turn at the end of the ramp.
Last month, and again tonight,
another vehicle was caught up in the
wreck.

The Arkansas truck driver told
police he was unfamiliar with the area.
He said he lost his brakes as he
reached the end of the ramp.
The wreck pinned a small pick-up
between the trailer and the concrete
median.
Emergency crews had to cut the
top off the smaller vehicle.
The two men were conscious.
Authorities do not believe their
injuries are life- threatening.

A state police bomb squad
responded to the West Main Street store
around 1:30, after a worker there
feared she was the target of a bomb.
The woman told police her estranged
boyfriend handed her some keys to a
safe that he placed next to her car.
The woman thought a bomb was
inside, but police later discovered it
was full of paper, photos and other
personal belongings.
No one was hurt, and police say no
charges will be filed.

A spokeswoman say Rehnquist was
taken to a hospital in suburban
Washington overnight with a fever and
was admitted for observation and
testing.
Rehnquist suffers from thyroid
cancer, and has been underoing
radiation and chemotherapy.
But the 80-year-old had been going
to work every day, despite his illness
and intense speculation that he would
soon retire from the bench.
He was hospitalized with breathing

Today the Art Museum of Western
Virginia unveiled On the Tow Path-- A
Halt by Theodore Robinson.
Robinson painted the piece back
in 1893.
A year later it was put on
display.

career.

Spaniel in Arizona.

Fourteen year old Elliot fell about
twenty feet into a sinkhole that
developed at his home's backyard.
His paw was tangled in some roots
and firefighters weren't able to get
him out.
So after a night alone in the dark,
they tried again the next day, and were
successful, getting him out with ropes
and a noose.
He was given water and oxygen and
treated for shock, before being wrapped
in a blanket and taken to the animal
hospital.
