Lisa Thomas was shot and killed four

the death penalty, and other issues
that could affect their ability to give
Thomas a fair trial.

in the Hill City as the state's 11 and
under little league tournament took
place at Miller Park.

Cave Spring Nationals vs. Fort Hunt Today's championship game pitted
:00 the Cave Spring National all-stars
against the Fort Hunt - a team out of
Alexandria.
Cave Spring would take control in
the first inning as Ben Walker's
fielder's choice grounder will allow
Zack Utterback to score as Cave Spring
takes a 2-to-nothing lead.
The Nationals had a chance to add
more to that total, but this nice hit
to center field, it snagged at the top
of the grass to end the inning.
Fort Hunt - which did not lose a
game in the tournament rolling through
the winner's bracket responded with a
five run second inning.
Tommy Friederich provided the
biggest blow of the day as he ripped a
three run homer over the center field

Cave Spring Nationals eventual game winner as Fort Hunt wins

preseason recognition.

Chesapeake is already a candidate for
the Nagurski Award, and today he was
added to the watch list for the Ted
Hendricks award, which goes to the
nation's top defensive end.
Tapp appeared in all 13 games
last season for the Hokies, recording
60 tackles, including 8 and a half
sacks.
Also on the list from the ACC,
is NC State's Mario Williams.

2 and a half minutes off the pace in
today's 17th stage of the Tour de
France, but his overall lead is still
solid.

OLN Armstrong soaked up the scenery of
:00 rolling hills and picturesque villages
riding in the main pack on the 148 mile
journey.
Not much could slow down the
peloton today, including a train that
just missed the breakaway pack of
riders, which was led by Armstrong's
teammate Paolo Savoldelli. Savoldelli
won the stage in just over 5 and a half
hours. Armstrong was 23rd.
