Department of Game and Inland
Fisheries.

Now the Attorney General is
asking Virginia State Police to conduct
their own investigation.

eventually able to get its helicopter
involved in the search around one
o'clock this afternoon, but didn't spot
any signs of Richardson.

He's described as a white male
with long brown hair, standing just
under six-feet tall and weighing
approximately 165-pounds.

He may have suffered cuts to the
head and chest in last night's
altercation.

a number of years in Lowgat, North

attack in London, the U-S House of
Representatives voted tonight to extend
the Patriot Act.

The act is supposed to
provide more tools for the War on
Terror, but opponents fear it could be

New York City is responding to
today's attacks by stepping up security
checks.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced
that police will conduct random
searches of packages and backpacks
carried by people getting on the
subway.

The preliminary plan is for
passengers carrying bags to be randomly
chosen before passing through
turnstiles.

The city's police commissioner
promises officers won't engage in
racial profiling, and that passengers
will be free to "turn around and leave"
rather than consent to a search.

Security will also be boosted on
bridges and in tunnels.

There's no need for security in a
tunnel designed for smuggling drugs
across the U-S Canadian border now that
it's been taken over by federal agents.

They monitored construction of
the tunnel for eight months and then
sealed it shortly after it opened
yesterday.

At least three people were
arrested.

Authorities say the tunnel is the
first of its kind discovered on the
nation's northern border.

At least 12 others along the
U-S-Mexico border have been found since
Nine-Eleven.

Greyhound bus out of Buena Vista won't
be easy.

Greyhound officials say they're
cutting service to save time and money.

Officials also cut service to
Harrisonburg, Staunton and Winchester.

The Buena Vista stop began nearly

travel to Roanoke, Lynchburg or
Charlottesville to catch a bus.

moved atop the Shenandoah Hotel along
Williamson Road- where it will light up
for the first time in more than a
decade.

100 thousand dollars has been

raised for the project - another 70
thousand is still needed.

Armstrong retained the yellow jersey
in Stage 18 of the Tour De France.
Armstrong finished 11 minutes behind
the stage winner Marcos Serrano but
