wildfire that came dangerously close to
some homes in Utah last night.

The fire reportedly began burning up
the side of a mountain, before the
winds shifted and sent flames toward
this neighborhood.
Homes were evacuated as flames
reportedly came within 40 feet of some
backyards.
A helicopter was used to drop water
on the blaze, while fire crews managed
to keep it away from homes.
The blaze burned about 200 acres
before being contained.

to help the exhausted swimmer back to
shore.
Witnesses say he was clinging to a
piece of wood for 30 minutes before
help arrived.
The flooding was caused by Typhoon
Haitang, which brought torrential rain
and high winds to southeastern China
this week.
The typhoon forced more than a
million people to flee their homes.

intimidated.
Now the Attorney General is
asking Virginia State Police to conduct
their own investigation.

route in Roanoke.
Citing low demand, a Greyhound
spokesperson says it is dropping the
Washington to Roanoke route.
Also, it will be harder to get a
bus out of Buena Vista.

Greyhound officials say they're
cutting service to save time and money.
Officials also cut service to

line, Lance Armstrong is on track for
his seventh consecutive victory in the
Tour de France.
He finished today's 19th stage in
56th place -- but still holds an
overall lead of two minutes, 46 seconds
over his nearest competitor.
The race wraps up on Sunday.

the Tour de France ends with a sprint
down this most famous of Paris avenues

considered an "easy" stage yesterday.a
mere hundred miles...with every town
and village along the route a gauntlet
of rabid fans eager to press close to
the riders.
Nine years ago Armstrong had dropped
out by this point in the three
week-long tour.

has elevated the phenomenal into the
incredibleand helped turn a sport that
was once a mystery to all but the most
dedicated fans into a world-wide
eventand put its star rider into the
same category as his rock star
girlfriend.

rock and rollness and also this
particular sport you can get closer to
your heroes, unlike other sports, but
in Lance's situation he's kind of in a

to the Knight's program.

White.
And for the past 4 seasons, he has
been an assistant to Randy Boone who
resigned after this past year.

The sign will be restored- and
moved atop the Shenandoah Hotel along
Williamson Road- where it will light up
for the first time in more than a
decade.
100 thousand dollars has been
raised for the project - another 70
thousand is still needed.
