after an accident yesterday at his job.

Officials say a worker was
stabilizing a crane at the Schoolfield
Dan River Plant -- when 58-year-old
Glenn Talbard of Ringgold was pushed
into a brick wall by one of the crane's
outriggers.

Talbard was taken to the hospital
where he died.

Police do NOT suspect any foul
play.

confiscated more than

88-hundred marijuana plants found
growing along the Blue Ridge Parkway.


Authorities say the plants were on
federal property in the *Rocky Knob*
area near Floyd County.

Officers from the sheriff's department,
State Police and the A-B-C department
-- were conducting their annual
marijuana *eradication* when the plants
were spotted from a helicopter.

So far, no arrests have been made.
