90-degree temperatures across much of

Although heat advisories
couldn't stop some people from working
out during the peak hours of the day.

Those who weren't working out,

killed this afternoon at the scouts'
2005 Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill.

The four were helping set up camp
when they died an electrical accident.

There are no further details, but
we do know that all four are from
Alaska.

The accident marred what had
otherwise been a hot but happy opening
day.

involved in a fatal car accident will
not face charges.

A local prosecutor called in to
review the case says Officer Timothy
VanMarter did not commit a traffic
infraction or criminal offense.

The accident happened June 10th on
Chaparral Drive near Cave Spring High
School.

VanMarter was pursuing a speeder,
when his police cruiser struck a Ford
Expedition pulling out of a private
driveway.

The driver of the S-U-V, Joyce
Crawford-Hawthorne, later died from her
injuries.

Montgomery County Commonwealth's
Attorney Joey Showalter found that the
officer did not pursue the vehicle in a
reckless manner.

Showalter wrote that the officer
"took due care in turning his vehicle
around on a nearby side road, taking

control of his vehicle, accelerating
and beginning to activate his emergency
equipment."

While the vehicle's emergency lights
were not flashing, Showalter said the
officer was in the process of
activating the emergency equipment when
the accident occurred.

latest game plan.

big with the city -- which hopes to
generate more tax revenue with better

Theres just a week left in the launch
windowafter that the shuttle

wont be in position to dock with the
international space station and

NASA will be forced to wait until
September for launch.

Forty Niners. Smith gets a $57 million
dollar deal over six years with $24
million of the deal guaranteed.

This past season, he completed
185 of 280 passes for 2,624 yards with
28 touchdowns and just four
interceptions. He also rushed for 563
yards and 10 touchdowns in the regular
season. He finished 4th in the Heisman
voting.

funeral for his oldest sister - 64 year
old Janet Dolores Woodson, who died
after battling liver and kidney
problems.

She was taken off of life support

Church Tuesday in Buena Vista.

Officials say it was triggered by
