actually was executed.

Grover Earl Lucas killed his wife
as she slept. He said he did it
because his wife "nagged" him. He also

killed their two children- -age 8 and
11- -figuring there'd be no one to care
for them, because he knew he'd be
electrocuted for killing Connie.

Grover Earl Lucas was executed
March 10th, 1961.

years ago to his model and girlfriend,
Marion Franklin.

In court today, the defense
claimed a Radford detective sent emails
to Shell under a fake name to get
information about the night Marion
died.

Shell contends that's a violation
of his constitutional rights.

The defense wants any evidence
collected after the first email thrown
out.

A judge will consider the question next

Hamlett is six feet tall and

south of the state line in Kingsport.
One of the truck drivers died from
burns this morning at a Nashville
