has resigned.

The Commission asked for Richard
Goemann's resignation yesterday after
recent complaints about his leadership
and allocation of the commission's 32-
million dollar annual budget.

The commission oversees and

services to the poor.

Goemann has served as director
since October of 2003.

This Week Organizers say things are going
extremely well.

That after hundreds of scouts
were treated for heat- related
illnesses while waiting for President
George Bush to speak Wednesday evening.

The president canceled that
appearance due to a thunder- storm, but
is expected to speak at the Jamboree's
closing ceremonies tomorrow evening.

Some 35- thousand scouts are
attending the event from all over the
world.

The Jamboree is held every four-
years.

This is the seventh time Fort A-P

Hill in Caroline County has hosted the

Branch Management Company has
expressed interest in buying the

If the bid is approved, the land

Clinic to move into the building the
