Lynchburg area has died in Iraq.

been an infantryman with the U-S Army
for about 18 months ... he'd been in
Iraq for the last six.

that Jason had died from non-combat

Jason's uncle describes him as an
outgoing young man heavily involved in

molesting several little boys in the
city now faces new charges
A Pulaski County Grand Jury
handed up 26 direct indictments against
54 year old Roger Dale Gilbert.
The indictments were unsealed by
the court late last week.
Gilbert is accused of molesting
at least four different boy under the
age of 13.
He's not related to any of them
and one child is mentally handicapped.
Gilbert already faces aggravated
sexual battery charges in Radford.
He's been released on 75-thousand
dollars bond.

to clean up groundwater contamination
from its old landfill.
The city sent its proposals to
the state yesterday.

This Afternoon Jason Campbell - the quarterback

overall pick in the draft signed a five
year deal last night, arrived at camp
this morning and went through his first
practice this afternoon.
Campbell helped lead the Tigers
to a 13-and-0 season a year ago a Sugar
Bowl win over Virginia Tech.
He is expected to start out as
the third string quarterback behind
Patrick Ramsey and Mark Brunell.

planning a reunion.
