died in Iraq.

The Defense Department says
Private First Class Jason D. Scheuerman
died Saturday of non-combat related
injuries.

Relatives tell the Associated
Press they have not been told
specifically how he died.

Scheuerman was assigned to
the Third Infantry Division.

He was 20 years old.

It looks like Candler Mountain
will get to keep its name. Liberty

University has decided to drop efforts
to change the mountain's name to
Liberty Mountain.

The university spent
4-point-two-five million dollars on a
land deal, giving Liberty control of
all but 26 acres on the mountain.

Although Jerry Falwell insists he
was unaware of his son's efforts to
change the name, he told the Thomas
Road Baptist Church congregation they
will call the part of the mountain they
own Liberty Mountain.

18-year-old Jermaine Stone of Roanoke
and a juvenile were arrested Friday
morning, after police say they caught
them breaking into Vogue Cleaners on
Melrose Avenue.

Officers say they were able to arrest
the suspects thanks to criminal

The prosecutor's office says the
16-year-old will be on supervised

It looks like Candler Mountain
will get to keeps its name. Liberty
University has decided to drop efforts
to change the mountain's name to
Liberty Mountain.

The university spent
4-point-two-five million dollars on a
land deal giving Liberty control of all
but 26 acres on the mountain.

Although Jerry Falwell insists he
was unaware of his son's efforts to
change the name, he told the Thomas
Road Baptist Church congregation they
will call the part of the mountain they
own Liberty Mountain.

girl on a school bus.

The prosecutor's office says the
16-year-old will be on supervised
probation and have to perform community
service.

He was expelled from high school
earlier.

in Iraq.

The Defense Department says Private

First Class Jason D. Scheuerman from
Lynchburg died Saturday of non-combat
related injuries.

Scheuerman was 20 years old.

the stands, but only the first nine
rows. Also, there will be no access to
the bathrooms or concession stands.

riverfront skateboard park is finally

The cost of the project has gone up
