Roanoke just before eight tonight...
for a fire in the ductwork.

second night.

throwing water balloons by pitching a
rock at them.

Maribel Cuevas was branded a
felon. She faced four years in
detention... for what her defense
attorney said was just child's play.

Maribel said the boys were
teasing her, like they'd done before.

Along with the water balloons, SHE says
they threw rocks, too, so she picked up
a rock and threw it back, hitting an
eight year old just above the eye.

Today the D-A dropped all the
charges, when Maribel agreed to sit
down with a mediator and talk to the
little boy she hit.

wrapped up a spacewalk for an emergency
mission to pull out filler material on
the shuttle's belly.

NASA officials were afraid the fillers
could overheat and might produce a
repeat of the Columbia disaster.

Now, NASA is trying to decide whether

of her eye- -she spied what turned out
to be a python.

Mistaking it for a toy, she bent
down and started to pick it up.

The dog got between Leafty and
the python, and the snake flinched.
Leafty says she was out of the house in
a flash.

Her landlord contacted the
previous tenant who explained the snake
got away, and they decided they didn't
want it anymore anyway.

He made a statement on Monday
saying he has never knowlingly taken
steroids.

York Times is reporting that his
positive steroid test was for
stanozolol, a powerful anabolic steroid
that is not available in dietary
supplements.

The article says that Palmeiro
tested positive for the drug known by
the brand name Winstrol - which is most
notably linked to shamed Olympic
sprinter Ben Johnson.

The test was taken weeks after
Palmeiro testified before Congress in
March, meaning he is probably not at
risk for perjury.
