ENG#=4 VO-NAT

VO-NAT Adidas is buying Reebok for $3

point 8 billion dollars. The hope is
that by combining Adidas' popularity in
Europe with Reebok's appeal to U.S.
fans of basketball and football, the
new company can put a hurting on Nike.
Analysts says that the brands will stay

separate but complement each other -- a
move that is likely to help them in
their competition with Nike.
