AIRBUS A340 HAD ENOUGH FUEL TO
DIVERT TO ANOTHER AIRPORT WHERE THE

and film festival in his honor.

Virginia visitors' bureau says a doctor
has told the 81 year old actor that his
health is not good enough for him to
travel across the country.
Stacey Brodak cited "escalating
health issues," but did not elaborate.
Knotts is a Morgantown native best
known as Deputy Barney Fife on "The
Andy Griffith Show."
Brodak says three events will go on
as planned this month -- the
unveiling of a sidewalk star, the first
meeting of the local Don
Knotts Fan Club, and a display of
Knotts memorabilia.
The film festival had been set for
August 12th through the 14th.

Jason Campbell - the quarterback
out of Auburn - who was the 25th
overall pick in the draft signed a five
year deal.
He arrived at camp and went through
his first practice yesterday afternoon.
Campbell helped lead the Tigers
to a 13-and-0 season a year ago a Sugar
Bowl win over Virginia Tech.
He is expected to start out as
the third string quarterback behind
Patrick Ramsey and Mark Brunell.

Carlos Rogers, the ninth overall
pick of the April draft - also out of
Auburn, gets a five-year, 17 and a half
million dollar deal. He is expected to
go through his first practice today.
