rescuers have found the body of a
teenage swimmer who had been missing
for several days.

evening.

The 16 year old from Mercer
County, West Virginia and his 20 year
old brother were pulled under by the
current in the Shumate Falls area
Tuesday.

On Wednesday, divers found the
body of the 20 year old.

Health officials expect to get
those results this afternoon.

child has died at Disney World.

A 12- year- old girl from Newport
News collapsed at a water park last
night.

Officials say lifeguards noticed the
girl lying on the ledge in the wave
pool.

Lifeguards performed CPR, but she
later died at the hospital.

Officials say the girl has no known
medical problems.

In June, a four- year- old boy died
after getting off a ride at Epcot.

His death is still under
investigation.

says a deputy accused of engaging in
sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl
will be placed on leave WITHOUT pay.

He faces several charges

aggravated sexual battery.

engineers is leaving Monday to teach

astronauts how to perform surgical
procedures while traveling in space.

of failing in Pulaski, just went up.

Engineers hired by the town now
say it will cost 800-thousand dollars
to fix the spillway on Hogan Dam.

The nearly 90 year old structure
is on a state watch list because it's
in danger of failing if it gets a
significant amount of rain in less than
24 hours.

In 2004 the state asked Pulaski
to look for the money to fix the
problem.

So, far, no funds are available
to start the project.

today in Roanoke.

So far, about 60 children and staff
from the Downtown Learning Center have
now been tested.

Health officials expect to get those
results this afternoon.

water park last night.

Officials say lifeguards noticed the
girl lying on the ledge in the wave
pool.

Lifeguards performed CPR, but she

later died at the hospital.

In June, a four- year- old boy died
after getting off a ride at Epcot.

His death is still under

warehouse prompted several businesses
to evacuate yesterday afternoon.

they received a donation of household
chemicals that had already spilled.

When they arrived, they found a
small ceiling fire on the first floor.

A lieutenant with the Salem Fire
Department said three people were
inside at the time, but no one was
hurt.

Most of the damage was contained
to a small area.

Emergency officials had to block
off part of Main Street to get water
from the hydrants.

not sure what started Wednesday night's
fire inside the Hooker Furniture plant.

They thought at first it was
spontaneous combustion but now say more
investigation is required. The cause
remains listed as "accidental".

until firefighters arrived and put it

Astronauts currently rely on
mission- control to walk them through
medical emergencies, but if a mission
ever makes it to Mars the communication
delay will be 45- minutes-- too long to
wait in an emergency situation.

Astronauts will train on a
virtual stomach before practicing on
simulated- skin.

The training mission is part of
an on- going partnership between NASA
and Virginia Commonwealth University.

to start school in their new building
later this month.

house L-C-A, part of Liberty University
and eventually Thomas Road Baptist
Church.

About a thousand students
currently attend L-C-A ... the move
will allow the school to double its

August 29th.

ENG#1 The body of a second swimmer missing

since Tuesday has been found.

Dispatchers in Giles County say
rescuers made the discovery yesterday
evening. The 16 year old from Mercer
County, West Virginia and his 20 year
old brother were pulled under by the
current in the Shumate Falls area
Tuesday.

About 60 children and staff from the
Downtown Learning Center have now been

tested for tuberculosis.

Health officials expect to get
those results this afternoon.

The center estimates that 88 people
in all may have come in contact with
that individual.

The Health department will
continue skin testing today from 4 to
