Thousands of people are gathered
there for the annual flower fair, as
dozens of peasants parade colorful
arrangements.

Other special events like
traditional dancing and music remind
Colombians of their roots, while
displaying to the world the South
American nation's abundance of flowers.

Generations of Colombians have
practiced this art for more than 50
years.

The week- long event dates back to the
reign of the Spaniards some 300 years
ago.
