23-year-old Christy Renee Banks
was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital,
but her condition is not being

when taken to the hospital.
No arrest have been made.

biggest bank robbery in Brazil's
history.

Thieves tunneled their way into
a heavily reinforced Central Bank vault
in northeastern Brazil over the weekend
and got away with nearly 65 million
dollars. The thieves built a
262-foot-long tunnel from a house to
the bank.
Police say the tunnel had wooden
panels and plastic sheets lining the
walls.
The amount of money stolen weighed
3 and a half tons. Authorities say
cameras and motion detectors inside the
vault did not function.

state passed away last night in
Bluefield.
The 67 year old Graham legend
died after a short battle with
Creutzfeld-Jakob (CROIGHTS-FELD YAK-OB)
Disease.

:00 The rare brain disorder that is
related to, but not the same thing as
Mad Cow disease, was diagnosed on July
25th. Carlock was taken to the
Westwood medical center in Bluefield
four days after the diagnosis and died
less than two weeks after he was
admitted.
Carlock won two state titles at
Graham - the final coming in 1995
against Rustburg, and his teams won 244
games in his 31 year tenure.
A who's who of area coaches
traveled to Bluefield in the past two
weeks after hearing of Carlock's
illness to wish the coach well.

Hogan's Dam is 90 years old and
in danger of failing.
It's on a state watch list and
would cost 800-thousand dollars to fix.
The town doesn't have the money
and would have to raise water bills to
help pay for it.
Pulaski Town Council members say
they will now consider offers from
developers to buy the structure plus
17-hundred acres of forest.
There are NO offers on the table
and council still wants to hear what
citizens think about the idea.
