GRAPHIC=581 Accident State Police say traffic is
TRAFFIC ALERT 7 ANIMATION moving once again on Interstate 581 in
Roanoke County.
Two northbound lanes were closed
for several hours while crews cleaned
up an accident involving a tractor
trailer.

This Morning Dispatchers say the accident
happened earlier this morning when an
officer was getting ready to stop a car
that was speeding.
The car then struck the tractor
trailer on the driver's side and
continued on to the Peters Creek Road
exit where it hit a guard rail on the
ramp.
The driver fled and has NOT been
caught.

HEALTHCHECK 7 ANIM Learning Center have tested positive
for the tuberculosis infection.
However, Health officials won't
say whether they are children or
adults.

Last Week The Health Department says it may
never know whether the two infected got
it at the Downtown Learning Center.
Recently, it was revealed a former
volunteer had an active case of the
disease.
The Health Department points out the
two infected have shown no symptons of
being sick and may never actually
develop the disease.

Children at the downtown Learning
Center will now undergo chest x-rays to
make sure they don't have tuberculosis.

basketball legend Jimmie Bryan died
Saturday at his home at Westminster
Canterbury.
Bryan, who was known for his
famous line, "it's great to be alive in
Lynchburg," has passed away at the age
of 89.

early morning accident.

limited.

to change from a regular apartment
complex to low-income housing.
As a result, some residents will have
to move out because they exceed certain
economic requirements.
It appears there is very little the
county can do to help these residents

there was no mention of a homeowner's
association and her contract shows the
community is NOT subject to one.

Contractors is turning over

Residents feel the developer is
just shirking its responsibility.
