That, after rainy weather in Florida

NASA isn't reporting any problems

It was filled with more anxiety than

*CG locator Sichuan, China

China's premiere panda breeding
center is planning to hold a pageant to
select a unique gift to Taiwan-- a pair
of giant panda cubs.

They'll be selected from a group of
17 fertile cubs between eighteen
months and four years old.

China's so- called "panda diplomacy"
has caused controversy among
politicians in Taiwan.

Some say the animal gift symbolizes a

division between those who prefer
closer ties with the mainland and those
who don't.

The self- ruled island Taiwan split
with China amid civil war in 19- 49.
