Pelicans vs. Avalanche Five Thousand one hundred and 53 :00 fans were on hand tonight at Salem
Memorial and many came to get written
up by the Mayberry Deputy - citations
for everyone.

In the bottom of the first with

runners on first and third and no one
out - Mike Floyd grounds into a double
play, but the contact was enough to get
Ben Zobrist home to make it
1-to-nothing.

The Avs would then come through
in the bottom of the third. Again it's
Zobrist. He hits his fourth homer of
the season taking the two-one pitch
over the right field fence. *CG final Myrtle Beach
1 The solo homer turns out to be Salem the game winner as the Salem hangs on 2 to beat the Pelicans 2-to-1.

The two will play again tomorrow
night at seven.

Bears vs. Rams The former Florida Gator broke :00 his left ankle early in the second
quarter of tonight's preseason game
against the St. Louis Rams and will be
sidelined three to four months. He
had just made a 4-yard completion to
Darnell Sanders when he was tackled by
Jeremy Loyd and Trev Faulk.

He got to his feet, but quickly
went back down.

Grossman played in only three
games last season after hurting his
right knee.

After getting his head stuck in a
jar, the coyote is now basking in
freedom.

Residents initially tried to
help it, but they saw a pack of coyotes
in the background.

Animal control officers searched
for the animal, with no luck.

A local resident took matters

into his own hands when he spotted the
coyote, tackling it and pulling the jar
off its head. (END VO) (END VO)
