Daniel Lineberry suffered an
apparent heart attack while playing
basketball last night.

Department guilty of child
endangerment.

Amy Stone entered a no contest
plea this morning,.
The prosecutor says Stone left a
ten month old baby inside her county
vehicle last December.
Authorities found the child
nearly five hours after she parked the
car near the Salem Courthouse complex.
Stone says she did NOT leave the
child on purpose, but had to deal with
a family emergency.
The Commonwealth attorney says
Stone made other trips, besides
visiting the hospital.

today, injuring the homeowner who tried
to put it out before emergency crews
arrived.

Neighbors spotted smoke and flames
coming from the home at the Westgate
Trailer Park on Lakeside Drive around
12:30.
A woman and her 16-month-old son
escaped the blaze unharmed, but she
suffered burns to her hands when she
re-entered to the home and tried to put
the fire out.
Firefighters had the fire under
control in about fifteen minutes.
The entire house was damaged by
fire, smoke and water.
Investigators say an overheated
extension cord was to blame.

Tuesday. Police say Jennifer shot and
killed a prison guard who was
escourting her husband away from a
Kingston, Tennessee courthouse.

Learning Center has tested positive for
tuberculosis infection.
So far, three people have had
positive skin tests. However, chest
x-rays in two of the cases show they do
not have an active case of T-B. That
means they have the bacteria but can
not spread it to others.

the three people contracted it while
spending time at the Downtown Learning
Center. They are not saying whether
they are children or adults.
Last month, the center learned one its

Reconnaissance Orbiter successfully
took off from Florida today.

mission to find out if water ever
existed on Mars.
It will take seven-months just to get
to the Red Planet.
The M-R-O will orbit Mars for at least
four years.
During that time, it's expected to

combined.
Besides using its X-ray and
photographic capabilities, the orbiter
will serve as a relay antenna for
robotic explorers roving the surface of
Mars.

Two network TV technicians
working in the shade of the tree and
one spectator suffered injuries.
One CBS Sports employee operating
a microphone broke his left femur and

The man who runs the B-M-W dealership
in Lynchburg was about to retire when
he got an offer to open a Land Rover
dealership.
The investment grew from there to
include Porsche, Jaguar and other
