shot and killed Joseph Gravely with a
handgun during a domestic dispute.

It happened in mid-july in their
home on Rockbridge Road.

The sheriff says she told
investigators her husband had assaulted
her.

Prosecutors presented the
evidence before a special grand jury on
Friday.


It did NOT return an indictment
for second degree murder.

Police say the white car was

Poplar Camp around 10:00 a-m.

flipped over several times in the
median before running into a tractor
trailer in the northbound lanes.

Troopers say the truck driver
tried everything to avoid the crash,
taking out several feet of guardrail.

Two women were airlifted to the
hospital with what police are calling

life-threatening injuries.

State Police are still
investigating and have not released the
women's names.

38-prisoners, nearly broke a record
with 94-people incarcerated.

Overcrowding has existed for
years, but now it's not just inmates-
but correctional officers who are
crammed into the building.

been brought to the jail for the extra
prisoners.

service last year ... but their
response time keeps increasing ... from
16 minutes on average five years ago to
close to 25 minutes today.

A shortage of daytime volunteers
is a big part of the problem ... but
hiring E-M-Ts to cover the calls
volunteers can't can be expensive.

So the rescue commission came up
with a plan that would include charging
citizens for every ambulance ride they
take ... five of the six squads are in
favor, although some have reservations.

the right stuff to pull off the win.

Phil Mickelson needed a birdie on
18 to win outright and avoid a playoff,

the cup for the win.

Mickelson wins the PGA
championship for the second major of
his career.

the New Year's bash from Times' Square.

For the first time since a stroke
in December, Clark will appear on live
television to co-host "Dick Clark's New
Year's Rockin Eve."

His spokesman says Clark is
walking and talking and living a fairly
normal life.

Clark did spend seven weeks in the
hospital after the stroke-

Dick Clark will share hosting
duties with Ryan Seacrest and says
he's elated to work with Seacrest.
