hospitalized after flipping her car on
Route 29 this morning.

Michelle Rae Brown of Evington was
headed north when she lost control of
her car, ran off the road and flipped
at least twice.
Brown was thrown from the vehicle
and landed in the road ... she was
airlifted to Lynchburg General Hospital
where she's listed in stable condition.
Police have charged her with
reckless driving.

McMillan says the allegations are
untrue, but he now faces a lawsuit
alleging gender discrimination, sexual
harassment and assault and battery.

In a federal complaint, former
city deputy Lespia King says McMillan
repeatedly made suggestive comments,
touched her inappropriately, and made
her uncomfortable.
The lawsuit alleges that McMillan
permitted a hostile and offensive work
environment which resulted in King's
resignation.

and hadn't seen the complaint. Through
his chief deputy, Jim Brubaker,
McMillan said the allegations are
untrue.
Brubaker is also the city
Democratic Chairman and he said he

King and her attorney declined to
comment this afternoon.

zip code to find the cheapest gas in

The information is compiled from

Glade Road Deli Mart around 10:00 last
night.
Both suspects had weapons, but
couldn't get inside the store, so they
took off running.
A dog sniffed out one suspect at
an apartment and another in a nearby
field.
23 year old William Charles Morva
and 21 year old Jeffrey Scott Roberts
are charged with attempted armed
robbery and use of a firearm in the
commission of a felony.
They are in jail, without bond.

last night.

a lesson for everyone in how it
started.

The couple and their five

into a Giles County tourist attraction.

going to the historic Glen Alton
property near Pembroke in the Jefferson
National Forest.
The money will be used restore
the lodge and caretaker's house and to
improve public access to the site.
Last year Congress pledged

improvements will lead even more
tourists to spend money in the

Relatives of Francis Gary Powers
helped unveil a roadside marker in Wise
County in memory of the late U-2 pilot.
Powers gained international fame
when the Russians shot down his spy
plane in May, 1960, captured him after
he bailed out and put him on trial.
He spent nearly two years in a
Soviet prison before the government got
him released.
Powers died in a helicopter crash
in 1977.

hoping to pack buses full of school
supplies for underprivileged children.
25 different school divisions are
setting up buses outside of Walmart to
collect paper, pencils and other
supplies.
Today buses were filled for
Montgomery and Floyd Counties.
