questioning three suspects possibly
involved in a shooting death.
The victim is identified as 23
year old Arlow Martemos Walker of
Danville.

He was found last night in the
600 block of Jefferson Street shortly
after officers heard gunshots in the
area.
Responding officers chased a
vehicle that crashed into a pole, and
at that point, the three people inside
fled on foot.
One was quickly caught; the

Avenue just before eleven o'clock.
They found a homemade explosive
device lying in the street.
Firefighters shot a pellet through
this soda bottle to defuse it.
They say the bomb had enough
explosives to take off someone's
fingers or a mailbox.

recognize an assault suspect.

Officers say this man broke
into a home off Brambleton Avenue and
tried to sexually assault the resident.
It happened Monday night around
eleven o-clock.
The resident escaped and called
police, but the suspect got away.
The man's believed to be in his
forties, about 5 feet eight inches tall
and 180 to 200 pounds.
If you recognize the man in the
drawing, call Roanoke County police.

in some of the latest national
rankings.
In the latest US News and World
Report rankings to be released today,
the engineering program jumped from
19th to the 14th spot.
The Pamplin Business College
slipped just a bit from 38th to 40th.
Overall, Tech's ranking slipped
from 74th to 78th.

men for a shooting death last night.
Police identify the suspects as
19 year old Alfonzo Dorrel Graves of
Danville, and a Richmond man, 29 year
old Jermaine Lorenzo Picket.
