GRAPHIC=Katrina Hurricane Katrina is already a

deadly storm.

It's now blamed for four deaths
in Florida-- three of them by falling
trees.

As it blew ashore last night, it
dumped more than a foot of rain.

Katrina was downgraded to a
tropical storm, but has re- gained
hurricane status now that it's reached
the Gulf of Mexico.

June 17 The five-year old's half brother
was charged with involuntary
manslaughter, but yesterday the
prosecutor announced he will not pursue
the case.

Apparently the more
Commonwealth's Attorney Roy Evans

learned about the incident, the more he
realized how hard it would be to get a
conviction.

Yesterday, Evans cited a civil
order from the Juvenile and Domestic
Relations Court that Evans says
"provides much the same result [as]
...criminal prosecution."
KIMBERLY ON CAM KIMBERLY ON CAM

GRAPHIC=HOLD While it is unclear exactly what

that means, those who work in Juvenile
courts and corrections believe the
14-year old half brother would NOT have
been tried as an adult.

More than likely, the boy would
have been placed on probation and
ordered to undergo counseling, or
referred to Social Services for some
indefinite period of time.

And that may be what Judge Charles
Lincoln has done in the boy's case
withOUT conducting a criminal trial.

deadly storm.

It's now blamed for four deaths
in Florida-- three of them by falling
trees.

As it blew ashore last night, it
dumped more than a foot of rain.

Katrina was downgraded to a
tropical storm, but re-gained hurricane
strength once it reached the Gulf of
Mexico.

June 17 The five-year old's half brother

prosecutor announced he will not pursue

the case.

Apparently the more
Commonwealth's Attorney Roy Evans
learned about the incident, the more he
realized how hard it would be to get a
conviction.

Yesterday, Evans cited a civil
order from the Juvenile and Domestic
Relations Court that Evans says
"provides much the same result [as]
...criminal prosecution."
KIMBERLY ON CAM KIMBERLY ON CAM

that means, those who work in Juvenile
courts and corrections believe the

been tried as an adult.

More than likely the boy would
have been placed on probation and
ordered to undergo counseling or
referred to Social Services for some
indefinite period of time. And that
may be what Judge Charles Lincoln has
done in the boy's case withOUT
conducting a criminal trial.
