Hurricane Center says he's worried that

Hurricane Katrina will cause a great
"loss of lives" and "catastrophic
damage" when it strikes the Gulf Coast.

Earlier today President Bush
declared a state of emergency in both
Louisana and Mississippi.

bearing down on the central gulf coast
tonight.

Hurricane Katrina is a whopping
category FIVE storm.

The storm is expected to hit
Louisana early tomorrow morning.

Katrina has a potential surge of
18 to 28 feet --- and as much as 15

inches of rain.

And experts say it's a disaster
waiting to happen.

trailer accident on Interstate-81.

Officials say the tanker
overturned after a tire blew out,
crushing the cabin.

The accident happened just before
five near the Radford exit.

The driver, William Mclaughlin of
Manchester, New Hampshire died
instantly.

Both northbound lanes were shut
down for several hours -- forcing many
drivers to take alternate routes.

Authorities say the truck was
part of a convoy traveling south to
help with hurricane relief efforts.

week since a Moneta couple was killed
in a boating accident at Smith Mountain
Lake.

tomorrow in Moneta.

The couple died last Saturday
when a speedboat crashed into their
cabin cruiser.

Authorities say Mark de
Tournillion was the driver of the
speedboat.

all been factors in the crash.
