The 200-year-old tree in the
center of Carolina Avenue fell Saturday
night.

Yesterday morning, city crews
continued to cut, remove and chip the
remaining limbs.

But, the work's been slow and a
city forestry inspector says it will
take a few more days to wrap up.

One of the wrinkles in removing
the tree has been a large beehive.

Yesterday, keepers used a
contraption to safely remove what they
could.

The city says the old tree will
have to be ground up before any
replanting can be done.
