Virginia's gasoline supplies has

Lowell T. Miller the second, a 1993
graduate was killed in action on Aug.
31.
He died of gunshot wounds
sustained in combat.
Miller was a member of the
Michigan National Guard and volunteered
for duty with the Mississippi National
Guard.

The valley's new hockey team the
Roanoke Valley Vipers open the season
in 56 days - unfortunately the team has
hit an unexpected snag.

Head coach and director of hockey
operations - Rick Adduono (UH-DOO-NO)
was let go today - effective
immediately.
Adduono coached this team when it
was in Port Huron last season and he
had been a head coach for nine seasons.
The Vipers offices are closed for
the Labor Day weekend, but the news
release issued tonight - says the
owners Ken and Kristen Dixon hope to
have a new coach in place by next week.
Again, the Vipers and coach Rick
Adduono have parted ways less than two
months before opening night.

And now a Missouri trainer hopes to
join the effort.
These 12 week old dogs are training
in scent detection- with the hope that
one day dogs will be able to
sniff out cancer early.
