Roanoke families homeless.

Fire broke out around nine
yesterday morning at this trailer off
of Thirlane Avenue -- leaving six
people without a home.

Officials say the blaze started
in the bedroom and quickly spread.

All six people were taken to the
hospital for minor smoke inhalation.

The damage is estimated at
40-thousand dollars.

Roanoke County Fire and EMS crews
also took up a donation for one of the
children -- who's birthday is today.

three days trying to fill the trailer.

investigating a suspicious death.

Police responded to the 100-block
of Shady Lane around 10:30 yesterday

morning.

When they got there, officers
found 52-year-old Odessa Clarke Winston
dead inside the home.

The cause of death is unknown at
this time.

Authorities say the body will be
sent for an autopsy tomorrow.
