The rooms have multiple beds so

Yesterday employees planned the
dining menu for the next two weeks.

That site will include a school,
daycare and medical center.

State officials met yesterday to
start planning for the massive

victims.

The Roanoke Chapter says more than
300 hundred people have called wanting
to go down to the Gulf Coast.

The problem is they must first be
trained so the Red Cross is speeding up
that process.

But officials stress this is not easy
work.

The thirteen volunteers who are
already down there can attest to that.

charged with child neglect is now
charged with murdering her three-month
old son.

The boy died at Roanoke
Community Hospital on May third.

Police charged 26-year-old
Tiffany Shatele Spears with murder and
felony child neglect on Tuesday.

The day after her son died in
May, Spears was charged with neglect of
her two other children-- a three-month
old daughter and a two-year old son.

But Ethan Allen plans to convert

with family in Houston, starting a new

has school systems scrambling to make
ends meet.

There may not be as many buses or
students in Craig County, but the
routes and stops can sometimes be few

and far between.

As the school year began, interim
superintendent Ed Clymore warned that
the current transportation budget would
cover only six-months.

Now the school system is
considering trimming bus trips or
shortening the school week to fill the
budget hole.

Park denies polluting the creek that
runs through the complex.

afternoon, D-J Cooper said he never put
one drop of untreated sewage in that
creek.

Nevertheless, the judge sentenced
Cooper to serve 27 months in prison and
fined him 270-thousand dollars.

The judge also ordered Cooper to
shut down the sewage treatment facility
at the park.

Valley is on the way to Gulfport,
Mississippi.

Medicine is sending at least 17
students, five faculty, and trailers
full of medicine and medical supplies.

Radford University is donating
its Mobile Medical Unit.

The students are staying for a
month to bring care to hundreds.

Hospitals and doctors offices
from across the region donated the
medical supplies.

The convoy leaves today with the
help of two Blacksburg National Guard
members and an agent from the office of
Homeland Security.
