Tech returns to Blacksburg next
Saturday the 17th for its home opener,
but Lane Stadium will not be ready.

This afternoon the University
announced that neither the West Side
Suites, or the indoor Club areas will
be completed for the Ohio University
game or the Ga. Tech game.

That means about 11 hundred fans
will be displaced to other areas in the
stadium.

:00 Jeff Gordon's crew chief, Robbie
Loomis says he won't return in that
capacity next season. Loomis joined
Gordon in 2000, and the duo claimed a

championship the following season. The
two have won a total of 23 races in 6
years, including 3 this season. But
Gordon is currently 12th in the points
standings, and inconsistency has
plagued the team all year long.

Busch points leader Martin Truex
went on a wild ride along the fence
after getting squeezed by Mike Wallace.

In the end, Kevin Harvick's
great day continued as he beat the
field to the checkered flag, winning
the Emerson 250.
