The governor has ordered mandatory

"With all the standing water, we are

Over the weekend, the airport opened to

collections began in some areas.

Right now the crews are still going
home by home, knocking on the roofs,
smashing in windows and just calling to
see if anyone is inside. But
once all this water is gone, there will
be a whole other round of
searches. Crews will be able to go
inside each home and that's when
they might find more bodies.
sot: Patrick Giannetto/California Task
Force Rescuer (22:58:44)
"Eerie spooky feeling because of the
lack of life, there's no birds,
sort of a weird ghostly feeling."
Officials say New Orleans is still
about 50 percent flooded, down from a
height of 80 percent right after the
levees broke.
(natz President Bush)
On his third trip to the region in
recent days, President Bush thanked
firefighters and other workers Sunday
for their rescue and recovery
efforts. Later today, the president
will tour downtown New Orleans in a
military truck jeep before taking to
the skies again to see damage in
Gulfport, Mississippi.
Two weeks after Katrina hit... the
President and others are finally
seeing progress...signs of hope that
this region can and will recover.
