The National Hurricane Center
says the storm is about 110 miles East
of Charleston, South Carolina.
Hurricane warnings stretch almost
the entire length of North and South
Carolina.
Already, a state of emergency has
been declared in the Outer Banks where
a mandatory evacuation order has been
issued.
Governor Warner declared Virginia
under a state of emergency, too,
alerting the National Guard just in
case.

Last Week Virginia was ready, but it
appears the state won't be getting
large numbers of evacuees.
The state and the Red Cross
turned Fort Pickett and a nearby church
camp into a huge intake center and
shelter.
Today, FEMA told the state to
stand down, explaining by memo that too
few evacuees from New Orleans were
boarding planes to leave the area.
Tonight, Governor Warner's
spokeswoman says Virginia still
is negotiating with states such as West
Virgina to bring evacuees housed there
to Fort Pickett and the Virginia United
Methodist Assembly Center.

Truex Junior has been fined 10 thousand
dollars and 25 championship points
after going for a ride Friday night at
Richmond. It wasn't the wreck that he
was fined for it was the reaction
towards Mike Wallace, which consisted
of an obscene gesture. He thought
Wallace was Number 1. Truex now only
leads the points by 69.

Titans and this was a very close match.
Hidden Valley would take the first
set from Lord Botetourt. But the
Cavaliers came right back winning the

But the Titans won game 4 to send
it to a deciding 5th set and the road
team came out on top 15 to 11 was the
score in the 5th. Hidden Valley beats
Lord Botetourt this evening 3 set to 2
in a great match, Titans improve to 6

One spider in Wisconsin is
practicing its spelling - at least
according to a family in Appleton.
The Mannebachs discovered a
spider web on the side of their house
that appeared to have been inscribed
with the word "lunch".
Keith Mannebach says he thought
his wife was crazy when she told him
about it but then he saw the web for
himself.
