after crashing his van into the back
of a tractor trailer.

after one this afternoon at the
intersection of Fork Mountain Road and
U-S 220 south in Franklin County.
A Dodge mini-van slammed into the
back of an 18-wheeler attempting to
make a turn.
The 53-year old driver was
pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still
under investigation.

was in a Botetourt County courtroom
today for an alleged relationship with
a 13-year-old girl.

several charges including taking
indecent liberties and contributing to
the delinquency of a minor.
The judge gave him a 90-day
sentence for the delinquency charge-
which his lawyer immediately appealed.

Botetourt County grand jury.

August deputy at the Roanoke County jail.
Initially, he was placed on leave
without pay.
But today, Sheriff Gerald Holt
