A dog is too, for that matter.

Eight year old Pepper became
interested in Chipper the squirrel,
after his owner's son brought home the

abandoned animal three weeks ago.

She's been caring for and nursing it
ever since.

Pepper hasn't had puppies in more
than four years, but has begun
producing milk for the squirrel.

Pepper's owner says the dog probably
just sees the squirrel as another
animal to love after having puppies and
grandpuppies of her own. (END VO) (END VO)
