Convenience Store in Danville were both
robbed last night.

In each of the robberies, a male
entered the business, displayed a
handgun, and demanded money.

The Joy Food Mart suspect is
being described as a black male wearing
all black clothes, gloves and ski mask.

The Sunrise Convenience Store
suspect is being described as a light
skinned black male, wearing a white
tee-shirt, and a blue stocking type
mask over his face.

Authorities say they're exploring
the possibility that the robberies are
related.

issued for a missing college student.

There is also a criminal
investigation underway.

is a freshman at Virginia Commonwealth
University and has been missing for
nearly two weeks.

State Police and Attorney General's

Behl's mother says she's
confident the new resources will speed

out-raised his Democratic opponent by

more than a million dollars this
reporting period.

Several hundred students turned out
for the event, many wearing orange and
maroon.

The celebration also had a serious
tone.

For every HokieZone t-shirt sold last
night, one dollar will go to the Hokies

United Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.

Donations will also be collected at
Saturday's game.

The goal is to raise one-hundred
thousand dollars.

forest land, Craig County residents
don't understand why the local ranger
station is closing.

The U. S. Forest Service plans to
close its ranger office there to the
public- eliminating two-jobs and
transfering about a half-dozen
employees to the Blacksburg office.

Residents aren't happy about the
news.

They argue that 54-percent of
the county is national forest and that
the forest service should have some
sort of active presence in the region.

A spokeswoman for the Forest
Service says the agency's been asked to
cut costs and that means evaluating the
efficiency of every office.

No timetable for a closure has
been established.

Virginians after Katrina devastated the
gulf states.

At a housing conference at the
Hotel Roanoke, Warner noted how
Virginia residents would need that
